Georgia High School Softball - Pope holds off River Ridge

The Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) softball the visiting River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA), 4-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Greyhounds (33-1) will now prepare for their bout against Apalachee (Winder, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 32-3 record. In their last bout, Apalachee held off Lassiter (Marietta, GA), 6-4, in a non-league bout.
The Knights now possess a 19-14 record. They play next when they travel to South Effingham for a non-league bout on Friday, October 28. River Ridge will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Veterans (Kathleen, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 26-6.
