The Corona/Vaughn topped the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's league test.

The now have a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountainair for a 1A District 3 test on Tuesday, November 1.

The Eagles (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM). The Cougars enter the 1A District 3 game with a 14-5 record. In their last game, Alamo Navajo gained a win over Pine Hill (Pine Hill, NM), 3-1, in a non-league game.
