The Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) football edged the visiting Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR), 22-16 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Indians face the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) in a 2A Region 2 bout, on Thursday, November 2. Marked Tree will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 8-1 record after their 30-16 league win over Des Arc (Des Arc, AR).
The Thunderbirds (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Earle (Earle, AR). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region 2 bout with a 4-5 record. In their last bout, Earle nudged Clarendon (Clarendon, AR), 26-20, in a league bout.
