Texas High School Football - Jim Ned sneaks past Vernon

October 27, 2023: Vernon, TX 76384

The Jim Ned Indians (Tuscola, TX) football edged the host Vernon Lions (Vernon, TX), 36-32 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Indians face the Iowa Park Hawks (Iowa Park, TX) in a 3A-1 Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, November 3. Jim Ned will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 4-5 record after their 21-13 league win over Clyde (Clyde, TX).

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Bowie (Bowie, TX). The Jackrabbits enter the 3A-1 Region I District 3 bout with a 1-8 record. In their last bout, Bowie was nudged by Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX), 28-21, in a league bout.
