The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) and the visiting Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX), observed Martin's football squad thwart Winn by a count of 23-13.
The Tigers now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Nixon for a 5A-1 Region IV District 13 contest on Friday, November 3. Martin will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 28-27 league win over Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-3.
Coming up next, the Mavericks play the Southside Cardinals (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A-1 Region IV District 13 contest, on Friday, November 3. Winn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the contest with a 8-1 record after their 36-17 league win over Martin (Laredo, TX).
