Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), 9-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Ashe County moves its record to 20-2 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Surry Central (Dobson, NC) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 28. The Golden Eagles go into the outing with a record of 11-7. Surry Central won 4-3 in their recent league outing against West Stokes (King, NC)

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing, on Wednesday, October 29. East Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 0-20 season record. The Buckin' Elks go into the outing with a 19-2 record after their 8-0 league win over West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).
