In Friday's non-league match, the host Council Grove Braves football squad scored a big 48-8 victory over the Fredonia Yellowjackets.

In their next game, the Braves clash with the Caney Valley Bullpups (Caney, KS) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 4. Council Grove will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Bullpups enter the match with a 7-2 record after their 44-16 non-league win over Eureka (Eureka, KS).
