The Avery County Vikings soccer team (Newland, NC), was overwhelmed 9-0 in Tuesday's league match with the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC)
The Wolverines (13-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats enter the Western Highlands 2A/3A battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Hendersonville ran past Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 4-0, in a league battle.
