The Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) football routed the host Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR), 44-6 in Saturday's league bout.
In their next game, the Indians face the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) in a 2A Region 2 bout, on Friday, November 4. Marked Tree will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 7-2 record after their 52-50 league loss to Des Arc (Des Arc, AR).
The Thunderbirds (2-6) will now prepare for their bout against Earle (Earle, AR). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region 2 bout with a 6-3 record. In their last bout, Earle walloped Clarendon (Clarendon, AR), 46-38, in a league bout.
