In Monday's league game, the Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) football team smashed the visiting North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA), by a score of 47-6.
The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their game against West Fork (Sheffield, IA). The Warhawks come into the A District 2 game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, West Fork was ripped by North Union (Armstrong, IA), 17-0, in a league game.
The Bearcats now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Mills for a A District 2 game on Friday, October 7. North Butler will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-28 league loss to Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.
