Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 10. Freedom will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

The Huskies now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 5. Ashe County will confront a Spartans team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-2.
