With the win, Mount Airy advances its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Granite Bears travel to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A outing on Wednesday, October 5. The Cardinals go into the outing with a record of 2-11. East Wilkes lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against Starmount (Boonville, NC)

In their next game, the Trojans play the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) in a Northwest 1A outing, on Wednesday, October 5. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 2-10 season record. The Sauras go into the outing with a 8-4 record after their 4-3 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC).
