Elk County Catholic Crusaders (St. Marys, PA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Clarion-Limestone Lions (Strattanville, PA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Crusaders confront the Ridgway Elker (Ridgway, PA) in a UAVSL Boys North challenge, on Wednesday, October 5. Elk County Catholic will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Elker enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 8-0 non-league win over West Forest (Tionesta, PA).

The Lions now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to DuBois for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 6. Clarion-Limestone will confront a Beavers team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Altoona (Altoona, PA). The Beavers record now stands at 4-4.
