Next, the Red Tornadoes confront the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A challenge, on Wednesday, October 5. Hickory will attempt to move on its 11-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 2-1 league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).

The Greyhounds now possess a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Lincoln for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Wednesday, October 5. Statesville will confront a Knights team coming off a 2-1 league loss to East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Knights record now stands at 6-6.
