The Wheeler Wildcats softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Marietta Blue Devils to 5 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Wheeler moves its record to 6-14 on the year. The Wildcats host Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA) to clash with the Mustangs in a 7A Region 5 game on Tuesday, October 4. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 15-2. Kennesaw Mountain won 3-0 in their recent league game against Walton (Marietta, GA)

In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, GA) in a 7A Region 3 game, on Thursday, October 6. Marietta will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 7-13 record after their 3-2 non-league win over South Paulding (Douglasville, GA).
