The Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys Mustang held off the host Discovery Warriors volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Monday's league test.
The Mustang now have a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology for a Central Valley test on Tuesday, October 4. Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys will confront a Griffins team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Valor Academy (Van Nuys, CA). The Griffins record now stands at 1-7.
The Warriors (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Sun Valley Magnet (Sun Valley, CA). The Pioneers enter the Central Valley test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Sun Valley Magnet was nudged by Triumph Charter (Sylmar, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
