The Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team (Spring Valley, CA), was dropped 3-0 in Monday's league challenge with the host El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA)

The Braves (15-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Foothillers enter the Grossmont Hills challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Grossmont defeated Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Monarchs meet the Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont Valley challenge, on Wednesday, October 5. Monte Vista will attempt to move on its 2-15 season record. The Matadors enter the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA).
