In Monday's league battle, the host Grossmont Foothillers volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Steele Canyon Cougars.

The Foothillers (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA). The Braves come into the Grossmont Valley battle with a 15-10 record. In their last battle, El Cajon Valley nudged Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Patrick Henry Patriots (San Diego, CA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 6. Steele Canyon will attempt to advance on its 4-17 season record. The Patriots come into the battle with a 5-18 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA).
