With the win, Alleghany upgrades its record to 14-0 on the year. The Cougars host Radford (Radford, VA) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 4. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Radford lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Patrick County (Stuart, VA)

The Knights now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Carroll County for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 5. James River will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-9.
