In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Orange County Fighting Hornets volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Charlottesville Black Knights.

The Fighting Hornets (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Albemarle was edged by Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Black Knights clash with the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 5. Charlottesville will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Flying Flucos come into the battle with a 4-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA).
