The Smoky Mountain Mustangs volleyball team (Sylva, NC), was dropped 2-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC)

The Panthers (18-1) will now prepare for their challenge against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, West Henderson defeated Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) in a challenge, on Thursday, October 5. Smoky Mountain will attempt to move on its 6-12 season record. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 2-0 league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).
