The Jamestown Eagles held off the visiting Smithfield Packers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles now have a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to York for a non-league test on Thursday, October 5. Jamestown will confront a Falcons team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 4-8.

The Packers (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams enter the non-league test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Lafayette was nudged by Bruton (Williamsburg, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
