Heartland Mustangs (Belton, MO) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Clinton Christian Academy Patriots (Clinton, MO), 3-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the El Dorado Christian Buffalos (El Dorado Springs, MO) in a MOKAN Christian challenge, on Friday, October 6. Heartland will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record. The Buffalos enter the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 9-1 league loss to Center Place (Independence, MO).

The Patriots now have a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Applewood Christian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 5.
