Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The War Eagles now sport a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host McIntosh County Academy for a 1A D-II Region 3 challenge on Wednesday, October 4. Jenkins County will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-16.

With the loss, Emanuel County Institute falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Dodge County (Eastman, GA) to face the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 4. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 13-11. Dodge County won 6-0 in their recent league challenge against Cook (Adel, GA)
