Virginia High School Volleyball - Alleghany tips James River

October 3, 2023: Buchanan, VA 24066

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) volleyball squad tipped the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Alleghany upgrades its record to 15-4 on the year. The Cougars host Radford (Radford, VA) to face the Bobcats in a non-league outing on Wednesday, October 4. The Bobcats go into the outing with a record of 8-6. Radford won 3-1 in their recent league outing against Patrick County (Stuart, VA)

The Knights now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Carroll County for a Three Rivers outing on Thursday, October 5. James River will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-5.
