South Dakota High School Volleyball - Avon routed by Burke

The Avon Pirates volleyball team (Avon, SD), was dropped 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the host Burke Cougars (Burke, SD)

The Cougars (21-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD). The enter the non-league challenge with a 8-10 record. In their last challenge, Andes Central/Dakota Christian defeated Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) in a B Region 5 challenge, on Thursday, October 5. Avon will attempt to move on its 13-8 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Wessington Springs (Wessington Springs, SD).
