In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Morgan County Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Elliott County Lions.

The Cougars (2-16) will now prepare for their battle against Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Hornets come into the non-league battle with a 3-17 record. In their last battle, Magoffin County lost by Martin County (Inez, KY), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Lions encounter the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 9. Elliott County will attempt to advance on its 0-11 season record. The Comets come into the battle with a 9-12 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY).
