Virginia High School Volleyball - Westmoreland tips Essex

October 3, 2023: Tappahannock, VA 22560

In Tuesday's league contest, the Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA) volleyball squad nudged the host Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck contest, on Friday, October 6. Westmoreland will attempt to better on its 11-1 season record. The Drifters go into the contest with a 5-10 record after their 3-2 league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, VA).

With the loss, Essex moves to 3-7 on the year. The Trojans host Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA) to battle the Raiders in a Northern Neck contest on Thursday, October 5. The Raiders go into the contest with a record of 12-3. Rappahannock won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA)
