The Rockets come into the match with a 20-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS).

With the loss, Shaw drops to 2-11 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS) to clash with the Tartars in a non-league match on Saturday, October 7. The Tartars come into the match with a record of 12-5. Taylorsville lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Mize (Mize, MS)
