The Independence Bulldogs held off the visiting Pittsburg Dragons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs now have a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Labette County for a Southeast Kansas test on Tuesday, October 10. Independence will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Chanute (Chanute, KS). The Grizzlies record now stands at 8-17.

The Dragons (6-17) will now prepare for their test against Paola (Paola, KS). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 14-13 record. In their last test, Paola held off Bonner Springs (Bonner Springs, KS), 3-0, in a non-league test.
