The Roosevelt Roughriders volleyball team (Portland, OR), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR)

The Democrats (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Portland, OR). The Quakers come into the 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Franklin nudged Benson Tech (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a league bout.

The Roughriders now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Wells for a 6A Portland Interscholastic bout on Thursday, October 5. Roosevelt will play a Guardians squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Grant (Portland, OR). The Guardians record now stands at 11-6.
