In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Liberty Preparatory Christian Patriots volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Statesville Christian Lions.

The Patriots (18-1) will now prepare for their battle against Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Community School of Davidson nudged Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Lions clash with the Salem Baptist Christian Vikings (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 5. Statesville Christian will attempt to advance on its 10-8 season record. The Vikings come into the battle with a 0-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to University Christian (Hickory, NC).
