The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Munford Lions (Munford, AL) and the host Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL), saw Munford's volleyball squad nip Piedmont by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Munford upgrades its record to 19-12 on the year. The Lions travel to Talladega (Talladega, AL) to play the Tigers in a 4A Area 8 bout on Thursday, October 5. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Talladega lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Winterboro (Alpine, AL)

The Bulldogs now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to Faith Christian for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 3. Piedmont will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Wadley (Wadley, AL). The Lions record now stands at 24-15.
