In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Poplarville Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Pearl River Central Blue Devils.
The Hornets (18-3) will now prepare for their battle against Richland (Richland, MS). The Rangers come into the non-league battle with a 3-14 record. In their last battle, Richland lost by McComb (McComb, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 5. Pearl River Central will attempt to advance on its 10-11 season record. The Crusaders come into the battle with a 8-16 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS).
