In Thursday's non-league contest, the Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) soccer team edged the visiting Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV), by a count of 1-0.

Next, the Eagles battle the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Saturday, October 5. Braxton County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 10-0 league win over Liberty (Clarksburg, WV).
