In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Athol Bears volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Pioneer Valley Regional Panthers.
The Bears (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Hadley (South Hadley, MA). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, South Hadley was beaten by Hampden Charter School of Science (Chicopee, MA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the Franklin County Tech Eagles (Turners Falls, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Pioneer Valley Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
