In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Chesterton Trojans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Portage Indians.

The Trojans (17-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Fighting 59ers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Andrean lost by Fishers (Fishers, IN), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians play the Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Portage will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN).
