Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA) and the visiting St. George's Dragons (Spokane, WA), observed Chewelah's volleyball team hold off St. George's by a count of 2-1.

The Cougars (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Kettle Falls was tipped by Newport (Newport, WA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Dragons battle the Riverside Rams (Chattaroy, WA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 5. St. George's will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Timberlake (Spirit Lake, ID).
