The James River Knights volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Floyd County Buffaloes to 0 in the Knights non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Knights now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Alleghany for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 8. James River will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Floyd County drops to 6-8 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA) to clash with the Bruins in a non-league outing on Monday, October 7.
