In Thursday's league challenge, the host Piner Prospectors volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Healdsburg Greyhounds.

The Prospectors (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA). The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, St. Vincent de Paul was nudged by Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds play the Analy Tigers (Sebastopol, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Healdsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 2-1 league loss to Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA).
