The Hoopeston Cornjerkers soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host Schlarman Hilltoppers to 1 in the Cornjerkers league victory on Thursday.

The Cornjerkers now hold a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Clifton Central for a non-league bout on Monday, October 7. Hoopeston will play a Comets squad coming off a 4-0 league win over Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL). The Comets record now stands at 8-11.
