The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Grain Valley Eagles (Grain Valley, MO) and the host Chrisman Bears (Independence, MO), observed Grain Valley's softball team notch a victory over Chrisman by a tally of 17-0.

The Eagles (29-1) will now prepare for their bout against Platte County (Platte City, MO). The Pirates go into the non-league bout with a 14-6 record. In their last bout, Platte County was routed by Fort Osage (Independence, MO), 6-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Belton Pirates (Belton, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, October 7. Chrisman will attempt to advance on its 5-18 season record.
