The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA) and the visiting Westover Patriots (Albany, GA), observed Monroe's softball team prevail over Westover by a tally of 23-14.

The Golden Tornadoes (3-11) will now prepare for their bout against Hardaway (Columbus, GA). The Hawks go into the non-league bout with a 11-10 record. In their last bout, Hardaway was routed by Columbus (Columbus, GA), 13-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Pelham Hornets (Pelham, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, October 7. Westover will attempt to advance on its 2-17 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 17-1 non-league loss to Miller County (Colquitt, GA).
