The Akron-Fairgrove Vikings volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Mayville Wildcats to 1 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now have a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Vassar for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 8. Akron-Fairgrove will play a Vulcans team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Reese (Reese, MI). The Vulcans record now stands at 10-15.

With the loss, Mayville drops to 2-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Owendale-Gagetown (Owendale, MI) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 8. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 9-3.
