In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Alleghany Trojans volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.

The Trojans (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks enter the Northwest 1A challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Elkin beat Starmount (Boonville, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Buckin' Elks meet the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a Northwest 1A challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Elkin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 3-1 league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).
