The Payne Tech Lions volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Belleville Buccaneers to 1 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now have a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Newark Tech for a non-league outing on Friday, October 4. Payne Tech will play a Terries team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Star Academy (Newark, NJ). The Terries record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Belleville drops to 3-8 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to St. Mary (Rutherford, NJ) to play the Gaels in a non-league outing on Friday, October 4. The Gaels come into the outing with a record of 8-2. St. Mary won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ)
