In Thursday's league match, the High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC), by a count of 3-1.

Next up, the Bison battle the Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Mid-State 3A match, on Tuesday, October 8. High Point Central will attempt to move on its 3-17 season record.

The Golden Eagles (1-19) will now prepare for their game against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats go into the Mid-State 3A game with a 12-4 record. In their last game, Eastern Guilford gained a win over Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
