North Carolina High School Volleyball - Scotland can't hold off Pinecrest

October 3, 2024: Laurinburg, NC 28352

In Thursday's league match, the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) volleyball squad tipped the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), by a count of 3-2.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 5. Pinecrest will attempt to move on its 15-6 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 12-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Wheatmore (Trinity, NC).

The Fighting Scots (15-5) will now prepare for their match against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the Sandhills 3A/4A match with a 11-7 record. In their last match, Lee County was tipped by Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 3-2, in a league match.
