Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Abbeville Yellowjackets (Abbeville, AL), 24-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Long improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Rebels host Houston County (Columbia, AL) to meet the Lions in a 2A Region 2 match on Friday, October 10. The Lions come into the match with a record of 1-6. Houston County lost 35-14 in their recent league match against Samson (Samson, AL)

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets meet the Providence Christian Eagles (Dothan, AL) in a 2A Region 2 match, on Friday, October 10. Abbeville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 4-2 record after their 28-15 league loss to Ariton (Ariton, AL).
