The North Polk Comets walloped the host Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays football team by a score of 47-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Comets face the Des Moines North Polar Bears (Des Moines, IA) in a 4A District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 10. North Polk will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Polar Bears enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 56-14 league loss to Ballard (Huxley, IA).

The Bluejays (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Wildcats come into the 4A District 5 test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Carlisle was overwhelmed by Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 14-13, in a league test.
